Today's blog comes from new Connected100 members, Remarkabull Marketing, an award winning marketing consultancy founded by Lydia Eccleston, supporting more than 60 businesses across Sussex, Surrey and Kent. In this blog, Lydia shares her story so far, from the belief that shaped the business to the growth, recognition and results that have followed, and why joining Connected100 felt like the right next step.

A business built on doing things differently
In just eighteen months, Remarkabull Marketing has grown from a brand-new business into an award-winning consultancy supporting more than 60 businesses across Sussex, Surrey and Kent. Founded by marketing consultant Lydia Eccleston, the business has quickly become known for helping SMEs cut through the noise with strategic, honest marketing that puts relationships before algorithms.
After more than 14 years working in marketing, both in-house and agency-side, Lydia had seen too many businesses investing in marketing activity without any real direction. Social media had become the answer to every question, websites were launched without strategy, and business owners were often sold services they didn't actually need.
Remarkabull Marketing was founded on a much simpler belief: that every business deserves marketing expert level marketing from someone they can trust - director level support without the in-hire salary. Rather than acting as another supplier, Lydia set out to become a genuine marketing partner, helping businesses understand where to invest their time and budget to achieve long-term, sustainable growth, both helping them strategically but also acting as their marketing team delivering those tactics.

Building Remarkabull
Launching a business is a leap of faith for anyone, but Lydia's journey came with additional challenges. While building Remarkabull, she was also navigating multiple surgeries for severe endometriosis and living with chronic pain. Those experiences shaped the business far more than any business plan ever could, reinforcing the importance of empathy, flexibility and understanding that every business owner has their own story behind the scenes.
Perhaps that's why Remarkabull has grown almost entirely through recommendation. One client became two, then ten, then sixty. Today, Lydia works with businesses across a huge range of industries, supporting independent retailers, manufacturers, charities, hospitality businesses, therapists and professional service firms. Whether launching a new business, repositioning an established brand or acting as an outsourced marketing department, every strategy is built around the individual business because no two organisations – or their ambitions – are ever the same.
Growth, recognition and real results
The pace of Remarkabull's growth has been, just that - remarkable. In little over a year, the business has supported more than 60 organisations across the South East while earning recognition through several prestigious regional awards, including winning Future Talent at The Dynamic Awards and New Business at the Brighton Girl Awards, alongside being Highly Commended at the UK Small Business Awards.
For Lydia, however, the greatest achievements aren't the awards on the shelf but the success stories behind them. Helping businesses launch with confidence, generate more enquiries, strengthen their online presence, secure PR opportunities and develop marketing strategies that drive long-term growth is what continues to inspire Remarkabull Marketing every day. From independent hair salons and retail shops to manufacturers, engineers, wellness brands and hospitality businesses, Lydia takes pride in becoming a trusted extension of each client's team. Rather than simply delivering marketing activity, she builds long-term partnerships, providing strategic support that's genuinely invested in her clients' success.
How Remarkabull helps businesses
Remarkabull Marketing acts as an outsourced marketing department for businesses across Sussex, Surrey and Kent. Whether supporting a brand-new start-up or an established company looking to grow, Lydia provides strategic, hands-on marketing support tailored to each business's goals.

● Marketing strategy and consultancy
● Social media management
● Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
● Website strategy and copywriting
● Email marketing
● Public Relations (PR)
● Content creation and content days
● Branding and messaging
● Marketing mentoring and training
Some clients work with Remarkabull across every aspect of their marketing, while others need support with a specific project or campaign. Whatever the requirement, the focus is always the same: creating marketing that is purposeful, measurable and built around the individual business rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Joining Connected100
Alongside supporting her clients, Lydia is passionate about championing the wider business community, regularly mentoring fellow business owners, giving back to charities and creating opportunities for collaboration. That community-first approach is one of the reasons joining Connected 100 felt like such a natural next step. Having already worked with several Connected 100 members, such as Remarkabull client Lollipop Print, Lydia has seen first-hand the value of the community and is looking forward to building even more meaningful relationships with businesses across the network.
As Remarkabull Marketing continues to grow, the mission remains exactly the same as it was on day one: helping brilliant businesses become impossible to ignore. By combining strategic thinking with genuine relationships and a personal approach, Lydia is proving that successful marketing isn't about following trends – it's about understanding people, telling their stories and giving businesses the confidence to grow.
