Today’s blog comes from our Connected100 Business Club members, The Old Market — one of Brighton’s most unique and creative venues.

As part of the upcoming Brighton Festival 2026, they’re bringing something a little different to the city with their immersive Of Land, Sea & Sky experience, and have put together this guide to what’s happening at The Old Market this May.

If you’re looking for even more things to do in Brighton during festival season, this is definitely one to add to your list.

Every May, our seaside city of Brighton and Hove comes alive with creativity, colour and culture as the Brighton Festival takes over. As part of the 2026 celebrations, The Old Market is hosting the Of Land, Sea & Sky project, offering an immersive experience taking advantage of our amazing In the Box set up!

In the Box is an immersive experience with 360-degree visual screens. We have previously hosted Fatboy Slim, Naomi Wood, The Allergies and many more.

What Is the Brighton Festival?

The Brighton festival takes place during the month of May, where art is everywhere spilling out of the theatres and galleries right onto the pavement, so you’re never more than a few steps away from something exciting.

A blue whale swims in deep ocean. Text reads "Sounds of the Ocean" with event details. The background is dark blue, creating a serene mood.

The best part is that it doesn’t matter what you're into; there’s a bit of everything. You might find yourself at a massive orchestral concert one night and a tiny, experimental theatre piece in a pop-up tent the next. You can grab a coffee and catch a world-famous author giving a talk, wander into a hidden art exhibition or just stumble upon a street performer that stops you in your tracks. It’s bold, it’s vibrant and it has that effortless, "anything goes" Brighton & Hove energy.

Our new project ‘Of Land, Sea & Sky Experience’ at The Old Market is an immersive escape from the busy Brighton festival atmosphere taking place throughout the City.

We encourage you to come visit to take a step into something completely different.

Our diverse lineup features:

  • DJ Changing Currents: A high-energy set from local legend DJ Changing Currents.

  • The Sound Bath: A restorative journey into deep relaxation. Relax on a beanbag while our 5.1 surround sound system and large-scale visuals transport you into vivid natural environments.

  • Sounds Of The Ocean: A family-friendly experience combines sounds of whales and dolphins, original music, immersive visual art and ocean imagery

  • Seeds of Hope: An uplifting session of "Climate Stories" featuring guest speakers sharing visions of a greener future.

And of course, much more!

Whether you’re heading out to soak up the whole Brighton Music Festival vibe or just want to escape into the Of Land, Sea and Sky experience, we’d love for you to drop by and see us at The Old Market. Come say hi and get stuck in!

The more attention I paid to visual patterns in Geometry Dash, the faster my reactions became. That awareness strengthened my precision during difficult sections.
