If you’re looking for something a little different at this year’s Brighton Fringe, this might just be our must-see pick.
Back for its 20th anniversary, The Big Bite-Size Breakfast Show is returning to Brighton this May, and it’s bringing with it a brilliant mix of theatre, coffee, croissants and feel-good vibes.
Even better? We’ve got free tickets available exclusively for Connected Brighton members (more on that at the end 👀).

A Brighton Fringe Favourite (for Good Reason)
Celebrating 20 years since its very first performance in Brighton back in 2006, this multi-award-winning show has become a firm favourite at both Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe.
And it’s easy to see why! This isn’t your typical theatre experience. It’s café theatre at its best; relaxed, social, and genuinely fun.
You’ll be treated to:
A selection of short, bite-sized plays
Free coffee or tea
Croissants and strawberries
And a morning full of laughs, surprises and brilliant performances
We went along last year with the Connected Brighton crew and honestly loved it. Each play was completely different, clever, entertaining and brilliantly acted, and the whole experience just felt like such a fun and easy way to start the day.

Two New Menus of Mini Plays
For 2026, the show is serving up two brand-new menus:
Early Riser (10am)
Late Brekkie (11:30am)
Each one features a mix of short plays, from comedy and drama to the slightly unexpected, meaning no two visits are quite the same.
Expect everything from:
A chocolate-shaming personal trainer
A love-struck bride
A film-noir detective
And even… post-coital insects (yes, really 😂)
It’s quirky, it’s clever, and it’s designed to be the perfect feel-good start to your Fringe day.
A Proper Brighton Experience
Taking place at Ironworks Studio B, right in the heart of the city, this is one of those events that feels so Brighton.
It’s creative, a bit different, and full of personality, exactly what Brighton Fringe is all about.
And with multiple dates across May (weekends throughout the festival), it’s definitely one to plan into your diary.
Why We Love It
At Connected Brighton, we’re all about helping you discover the best experiences the city has to offer, and this is absolutely one of them.
It’s:
Social (perfect to go with friends or meet new people)
Easy to enjoy (no long plays or heavy commitment)
And just a genuinely lovely way to spend a morning
Plus… theatre and breakfast? Say no more.
