We’re thrilled to announce that the Brighton BASH Carnival is back for 2025—and it’s set to be the biggest and boldest yet! 🎉

Following an incredible 2024 event that drew over 5,000 attendees, this year’s celebration returns to the beautiful St Ann’s Well Gardens, Hove, on Saturday 26th July 2025, marking the 5th anniversary of the carnival.

At Connected Brighton, we’re proud to spotlight this powerful event—especially since it's curated by BARCO (Black Anti-Racism Community Organisation C.I.C), one of our inspiring Connected100 business club members. This Brighton-based CIC has been championing inclusion, creativity, and unity since 2020—and BASH Carnival is one of its brightest expressions of that mission.

🌟 What is BASH?

BASH stands for Building Alliance, Solidarity & Hope—a perfect reflection of the carnival’s mission: to celebrate diversity, Black culture, and community strength through music, food, art, and togetherness.

👑 Theme for 2025: CROWNS

This year’s theme—Crowns—pays homage to culture, creativity, and self-expression. It follows last year’s vibrant “Flags and Masks” and was chosen by public vote.

In the lead-up to carnival day, the BARCO team is running creative workshops in local schools and community hubs to help people craft Hair & Crown-themed pieces that will be proudly worn and showcased during the event.

🎉 What to Expect

The carnival is packed with music, dance, food, family fun, and community pride, including:

  • Three Live Stages – Featuring local artists and performers across diverse genres
