We have the legendary Gavin Stewart to talk us through the latest news on the Brighton economy in this interactive discussion.
Gavin Stewart runs his own management consultancy in Brighton & Hove, providing a CEO function for Brilliant Brighton (the Brighton Business Improvement District), as well as the Executive Director function for the Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership. Through these roles he actively promotes economic growth, community engagement, and collaboration across sectors. His work focuses on supporting local businesses and fostering a vibrant and sustainable environment in the city. He is a regular speaker at events as well as a visiting lecturer at Brighton University.
Gavin sits on a number of boards and committees which focus on economic development and tourism; namely:
- Chair of the city’s Destination Experience Group
- Advisory Board Member for British BIDs
- Co-Chair of the UK Coastal BIDs Group
- Greater Brighton Advisory Board
- CEO of Brilliant Brighton (the city’s Business Improvement District)
- Executive Director for the Brighton & Hove Economic
- Director Forbes Stewart Management Consultancy
He is also a Trustee at Sussex Past.
The talk for Connected Brighton will take a look at a broad range of metrics to encapsulate the current state of the city.  We’ll look at everything from the gender pay gap to bus routes.  We all need to understand how our city ticks so that in our businesses, we can work to address inequality, consolidate our successes and seek out new opportunities.
